How long does it take to build a website?
Timelines depend on the spec of the website project and how much content I have from the client up front, but here are some general guidelines…
- Basic brochure website usually take around 4 weeks.
- E-Commerce projects usually take a minimum of 8 weeks.
What size companies do you produce web designs for?
I like to help ambitious start-up businesses as much as well-established organisations.
Do you redesign existing websites?
Yep, not a problem, I’ll take a look at your current website and recommend improvements, or we can start from scratch.
Do you offer ongoing help with our new site once it's launched?
Of course, I wouldn’t just leave you on your own once the initial build is complete. Websites are like cars, they need plenty of TLC or they’ll become out of date and the potential of them getting hacked becomes greater. For a monthly fee I offer safe updates and backups. I’ll also be on call to make changes and answer any questions you may have about your website.
Will my website work on smart phones and tablets as well?
Erm, YES! Your website should work on the smallest smartphone to the largest smart TV and every device in between. I can also analyse your website post live and see which devices are the most popular with your customers, this will allow us to prioritise and justify any design tweaks.
How much does a website cost?
Prices start from as little as £500. Every brief I work on has different requirements that alter the spec of the job. So, once I’ve received the brief – I can give you an indication of the cost and timescale. If you need a hand with your brief let me know and we’ll work on it together.
Do you provide web hosting, domain names and email?
I don’t personally offer web hosting etc. but I do have a preferred supplier who offer great value prices and fantastic customer service. They’re based in Manchester and their servers are located in Manchester Science Park. So no need to worry about phoning foreign call centres or using annoying chat bots, simply drop me a message and I’ll get my guys on it straight away.
Do you provide SEO services?
Well, all websites I design and build tick all the technical SEO boxes making sure your website performs well and gets indexed on all search engines. This also falls under the monthly maintenance fee as it’s a key part of the general wellbeing of your website. However, if it’s SEO marketing you’re after I can refer you to a reliable marketing agency as this involves content strategies, content writing and maybe even video creation and editing which I simply don’t have the capacity to do by myself.
